Within the initial key stages of the build, we are able to offer room relationship guidance and advise on operational practicality ensuring that there is a seamless synergy between design and ongoing operation - ensuring that the end goal aligns. It's an incredibly exciting point of entry as this is where the creative process begins. Rachel has had the immense privilege of developing wellness platforms on board multiple 100m + motor yachts overseeing these vessels from inception to completion with ongoing operation.

Our role is to envision the journey we set out for the guest. As each individual and project differs it is imperative to view the space as an entirety and have the position to influence change in an incredibly positive way.

The treatment space is a highly impactful safe space within the vessel for the guest to seclude, unwind, reset and arguably be at their most vulnerable. Our role within this creation is very much thought out alongside the appointed design team as the design of the space is an influencing factor in which treatments may be preferred and carried out in each location as well as what the space may speak to. How this space connects to other dedicated wellness spaces onboard - beach club, swim platform, gymnasium, service area and wellness platform - is a high priority. This is to ensure that there is not an interruption to the guest user experience nor a disruption to flow.

An example lies within where one may simply place a shower. We could have the vision to suggest this not simply be a shower but rather an experience. Creating a multi-faceted, harmonious play of colours, fragrances and water types - for a unique shower experience that stimulates all the senses in keeping with the creation of a spa menu which may be set out to focus on sound therapy, chromotherapy and aromatherapy which in turn would be viewed as a complementary therapy as opposed to a shower. Thus incorporating and connecting the spaces to be fluid, setting the scene for the area. The goal is to achieve this, throughout the wellness platform and to unify the spa spaces onboard from the get-go.

Our scope is far-reaching working with not just your designers but the project, interior and engineering teams on board during this phase as this is an ideal point at which we are able to suggest storage solutions, drainage supply, electric and plug point requirements, layout of fixtures, equipment recommendations along with ensuring the suitability of therapist flow within the spaces that the treatments will be carried out and that which the guest journeys through - sharing our passion, knowledge and professional dedication - we believe the appointment of a spa consultant to be essential.
